Outback Trim Level
The
foundational trim level is simply called, the Outback. It comes
equipped with a full list of standard features, including the 2.5L
SUBARU BOXER® I-4 engine that generates 182 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of
torque. This has a maximum towing capacity of 2,700 pounds when properly
equipped.
You'll also get the full EyeSight® suite of driver-assist technologies, which comes with:
- Advanced Adaptive Cruise control with Lane Centering
- Pre-Collision Braking
- Lane Departure and Sway Warning
- Lane Keep Assist
You'll have High Beam Assist as a standard safety feature, as well.
Inside
the cabin, you can stay in-the-know with the STARLINK® infotainment
system with a 7-inch touchscreen. This system features Bluetooth®
wireless device connectivity as well as Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
compatibility.
Subaru Outback Premium Trim
The
next level up is the Outback Premium. This trim level upgrades some of
the technology, including growing the touchscreen to a 11.6-inch
display. It also features all-weather convenience features like
Dual-zone climate control. This allows the driver and passenger to set
their side of the cabin to their own respective temperatures.
The
cabin gets an even more luxurious feel with a leather-wrapped steering
wheel and shifter handle while the 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat
lets you find the perfect setting for maximum comfort and visibility.
Subaru Outback Trim Levels: Outback Limited and Limited XT
The
Limited and Limited XT trim levels are even more outdoorsy because they
replace the 17-inch wheels with 18-inch ones that give you additional
ride height and ground clearance.
If
you're driving along back roads, you may like the LED Steering
Responsive Headlights, as well. These move the headlights with your
steering wheel as you come around a corner so that you're less likely to
be surprised by deer crossing the road or other potential hazards.
Inside
the cabin, you can enjoy even more style with leather-trimmed seats.
Meanwhile, you add in a couple more safety features with Reverse
Automatic Braking and Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist.
While
the Limited trim level has the 2.5L engine from the Outback and Premium
trims, the Limited XT comes with a 2.4L SUBARU BOXER® turbo I-4 that
generates 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. This engine gives you a
maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
Outback Touring and Touring XT

Â
The
Subaru Outback Touring and Touring XT have the same engine options as
the Limited XT. They also adds in even more features like the power tilt
and sliding moon roof that lets in plenty of fresh air and natural
sunlight.
You'll
also dress up your cabin with Nappa leather-trimmed seating appointments
and the STARLINK® 11.6-inch infotainment system. This includes and
integrated navigation system that provides turn-by-turn directions to
your destination.
One
of our favorite features that comes with the Touring and Touring Trim
levels is the DriverFocusâ„¢ Distraction Mitigation System. This learns
your driving technique and then issues a warning if it detects patterns
that indicate drowsy or distracted driving along with a suggestion to
take a break from behind the wheel.
Subaru Outback Onyx Edition XT Trim Level
When
you drive the Onyx Edition XT, you get the 2.4L turbocharged engine as a
standard feature, along with 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a
special black finish.
The
exterior features LED headlights and Crystal Black Silica-finish
folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals. Plus, the interior
gets an adventure-ready upgrade with StarTex water-repellent upholstery
that's easy to clean after a muddy trip to the campsite, a day of play
at the dog park, or a sandy afternoon at the beach.
